Why Choose Bryan
Last Spring I took two huge steps. I filed as a candidate for the Salt Lake City School Board, Precinct 6, and I jumped into the world of social media. With this website and my social media accounts, I hope to acquaint you with my purpose in running for this position. After twenty five years of practicing law and helping manage a family business, I decided to pursue teaching as a career with the specific goal of teaching in a Title I school. I went back to school at Westminster College and received an MAT in Education. I started at Newman Elementary School teaching grade 6 in 2011, and also taught in grades 3 and 2.
My teaching career has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my life. I have served on school and community committees in an effort to improve the educational environment in Salt Lake City. My hope in serving on the Salt Lake City School Board is to bring an integrated point of view, that of a parent, community member, and educator, to aid in ensuring the best education for every child. My children attended Indian Hills Elementary, Clayton Middle School, and East High School, and I taught in Rose Park. I have a grasp of the strengths and challenges of the district as a whole. I look forward to answering your questions and showing you how I can represent our children.
